Connect Hearth to ChatGPT or Claude
Once connected, you can log meals, weight and workouts to Hearth from your ChatGPT or Claude conversations. Both take three steps.
Before you start
- Hearth Pro is active (the AI connection is a Pro feature).
- You use the same Apple or Google account you are signed in with in the Hearth app.
- If you use ChatGPT: a paid plan that has developer mode.
Connect in ChatGPT
- On a computer or in a web browser, open chatgpt.com and turn on developer mode in Settings (a paid ChatGPT plan is required).
- Create a new app (connector) and paste the connector URL below.
- Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you use in Hearth and approve access.

- In Claude, open Settings > Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector and paste the URL below.
- Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you use for Hearth.

Then just say it
- “Grilled salmon set for lunch”
- “My weight this morning was 58.4 kg”
- (Send a photo of your meal) “Log this for me”
Your AI estimates the calories and macros from a photo. Hearth stores that estimate.
Once Hearth Coach is listed in ChatGPT
After Hearth Coach is listed in ChatGPT’s apps, you can add it from Settings > Apps. Until then, create a connector in developer mode and paste the same URL. In Claude, paste this URL into Add custom connector.
What you are asked to allow
The sign-in screen requests openid (identity), profile, email (to match your account) and offline_access (to keep the connection going).
To disconnect
Remove Hearth from Settings > Connectors in Claude, or Settings > Apps in ChatGPT. Disconnecting does not delete the data stored in Hearth.
